Two men injured in knife attack in Zwickau
Following a verbal dispute in Marienstraße, a violent altercation occurred near Schumannplatz in Zwickau at about 1 p.m. on 3 June. According to initial findings, a then-unknown man stabbed a 25-year-old man with a knife, seriously injuring him; he was taken to hospital for inpatient treatment. Another 25-year-old man sustained minor injuries, and investigators are examining his involvement in the incident. The suspected attacker initially fled but was located near Schumannplatz and taken into police custody. A possible weapon was recovered.
