Man remanded in custody after stabbing in Viersen
A 42-year-old man was seriously injured in the upper back during an argument in an apartment in Viersen on Tuesday around midday. Police and prosecutors said a 32-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed him in the back with a knife. The two men had been drinking and arguing since the morning. The injured man was taken to hospital, and an emergency doctor was at one point unable to rule out a life-threatening condition. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and remanded in custody at the request of prosecutors.
