Two men suffer cuts during dispute in Zeitz
A 20-year-old man and a 25-year-old man suffered superficial cuts during a violent dispute near the Altmarkt in Zeitz on the evening of Sunday, 27 September 2026. Residents reported an altercation within a larger group; officers intervened and questioned five people they found there. Police found a knife on the 38-year-old suspect and seized it as the suspected weapon. Whether it caused the injuries has not been established. The man is under investigation on suspicion of causing dangerous bodily harm. Those involved were ordered to leave the area, and a teenager was handed over to his guardians.
