Petrol station visitor threatened with knife injury in Weilerswist

A petrol station visitor was allegedly threatened with injury by a knife early on Sunday, 27 September 2026, on Parkallee in Weilerswist. Police responded at around 2:15 a.m. to several incidents involving five men aged 19 to 37; the report does not say whether a knife was present during the threat. While police were recording the complaint, one of the accused urinated against a patrol car. After a later physical confrontation among those involved, police took three men into custody. One attacked officers during the detention, slightly injuring an officer. Two detentions ended because medical treatment was needed; one of the men was taken to hospital, where he later attacked and injured another officer as police enforced an order to leave. He was subsequently admitted to a psychiatric facility by compulsion. Criminal proceedings were opened against those involved, including investigations into suspected assaults on officers.
