Teenager arrested after alleged knife attack in Wuppertal
Two teenagers became involved in a dispute late Saturday evening at a birthday party in an allotment garden complex on Kimmenauer Weg in Wuppertal. According to the investigation so far, one teenager is alleged to have injured the other with a knife during a physical confrontation. Emergency services took the injured teenager to hospital, where emergency surgery was performed. The suspect initially fled on foot but was found hiding in bushes near the Balkantrasse during a search supported by a police helicopter and was provisionally arrested. A homicide unit is investigating the background, and prosecutors intended to bring the teenager before a judge to decide on pre-trial detention.
