Woman threatened with kitchen knife in Winnenden
A 31-year-old man threatened a woman with a kitchen knife outside an ice-cream shop on Marktstraße in Winnenden at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The owner of the ice-cream shop stood beside the woman with a chair to protect her. The man then went into a flat in the neighbouring building. Police cordoned off the area and secured access to the building. Shortly afterwards, the man came out unarmed and was arrested without resistance. As he appeared to be in an acute mental health crisis, he was taken to a specialist clinic and also faces a criminal complaint.
