Man threatens police officers in Oldenburg with two knives
During a police operation in Oldenburg-Kreyenbrück on 2 September, a 39-year-old resident of an apartment building is alleged to have held two large knives, threatened officers, and moved towards them with the knives raised. Residents had previously called police because the man was allegedly causing a disturbance in the building. He dropped the knives only after officers threatened to use a firearm. Police said he then put up considerable resistance during the attempted arrest and was eventually subdued. The man sustained minor injuries and was taken to a psychiatric facility for further treatment.
