Man dies after police operation in Waltrop
A 53-year-old man reportedly threatened two people with a knife at a senior centre in Waltrop at about 4:15 p.m. on 10 February. According to the information available so far, a further threatening situation developed when police officers arrived. The officers then used their service weapons. The man was injured, taken to a local hospital and later died there. For neutrality reasons, Dortmund police are conducting the further investigation under the direction of the Bochum public prosecutor's office.
