Two teenagers injured in Recklinghausen assault
Two teenagers were injured on Wednesday during a physical confrontation involving several people in Recklinghausen city centre. According to initial findings, those involved had arranged to meet near Paulsörter/Schwertfegergasse because of an earlier dispute.
At about 4:30 p.m., one teenager was punched and kicked by a group of young men. An 18-year-old suspect is also alleged to have hit him with the handle of a knife. When another teenager tried to help, he was sprayed with pepper spray.
One teenager sustained serious injuries and the other minor injuries. Both were taken to hospital by ambulance. The investigation is ongoing.
