Man allegedly threatened motorist in Velbert with a machete
On 24 June on Bonsfelder Straße in Velbert, one of two occupants of a Citroen C1 allegedly threatened another motorist with a machete during an argument. By the time police arrived, the other people involved had left, while the Citroen driver fled at high speed. Officers stopped and arrested the 54-year-old driver in Velbert-Langenberg after a pursuit through the city. Police ordered a blood sample, seized the vehicle and were considering an application for an arrest warrant. Investigators said the dispute appeared to have a family background.
