Man lightly injured in knife attack in Vechta
A 23-year-old man was lightly injured during an altercation near a bar in Vechta early on Sunday. According to police, a 26-year-old man first pushed him off an e-scooter. The suspect then allegedly stabbed repeatedly in the victim's direction with a knife, while the victim fended off the attacks.
Paramedics took the injured man to hospital for treatment. The suspect initially fled but was located by police near the scene shortly afterwards. Officers also secured the suspected weapon; the suspect was released after further procedural measures. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
