Man taken to hospital after alleged knife attack in Sundhagen
A 58-year-old man was taken to hospital after an alleged knife attack on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at a farm in Engelswacht, part of Sundhagen. According to the initial account, he and a 36-year-old man first argued and then became involved in a physical confrontation, during which the younger man allegedly attacked him with a knife. The 58-year-old's injuries were initially assessed as not life-threatening. Police, called at around 5:00 p.m., surrounded a building on the property and caught the suspect after a short pursuit. A rapid drug test on him was positive for THC and amphetamine, and a blood sample was then taken. He was released after being detained temporarily. Criminal police collected evidence and are investigating suspected aggravated assault; the circumstances of the dispute remain under investigation.
