Minor remanded after knife attack in Schwerte

An 18-year-old man was stabbed several times with a knife during an altercation on Hüsingstraße in Schwerte at 6:40 p.m. on 23 January. According to police, an earlier altercation that afternoon preceded the incident, in which the later victim is alleged to have slightly injured a minor. When those involved encountered each other again, the minor is alleged to have followed the 18-year-old and stabbed him repeatedly. The victim initially suffered life-threatening injuries but was later no longer in danger of death. Police arrested three suspects and secured the knife. A judge ordered pre-trial detention for the minor suspect, while a homicide unit investigates.
