Store detective threatened with knife in Hoyerswerda
On 15 October 2026 at around 4:30 p.m., a store detective confronted a couple at Lausitzer Platz in Hoyerswerda after seeing them try to leave with unpaid goods. The man then drew a knife and threatened the detective, preventing him from stopping them. The couple escaped with goods worth about five euros. The detective reported the incident, and police are investigating it as robbery-related theft.
