Man threatens colleague with kitchen knife during dispute at Potsdam construction site

Police are investigating a threat following a dispute between two workers at a construction site on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße in Potsdam-Golm. On Thursday evening, a 38-year-old man first swung a shovel at his 29-year-old colleague, who dodged the blow. The older man then picked up a kitchen knife and gestured threateningly with it in front of his colleague, without attacking or injuring him with the knife. Both men also used the unfinished building as a place to sleep and had been drinking alcohol. The threatened man called police. As the 38-year-old remained aggressive while officers recorded the complaint, they took him into custody to prevent further offences; a breath test showed an alcohol level above 1.2 per mille. He was allowed to leave on Friday morning after sobering up.
