Four police officers injured during operation in Rüsselsheim

Police were called to a dispute involving a couple on Bahnhofstraße in Rüsselsheim on 11 March. A 20-year-old man became increasingly aggressive when officers attempted to take him into custody. During the arrest, he put up significant resistance, threatened the officers and was carrying a knife, which was taken from him. Three female officers and one male officer were injured and could not continue working. After police threatened to use an electroshock device, the man was restrained, taken to a psychiatric clinic and is expected to face several criminal proceedings.
