Woman remanded after stabbing injury in Nettetal attack
A 33-year-old woman sustained a stabbing injury in an attempted homicide in Nettetal-Schaag on 11 March. Investigators said a verbal argument had preceded the physical confrontation between her and a 27-year-old woman. Both women were working as harvest labourers near a field at the time.
Emergency services flew the injured woman to hospital by helicopter; a threat to her life could initially not be ruled out. Police provisionally detained the 27-year-old at the scene. At the request of prosecutors, a judge ordered pre-trial detention, while a homicide investigation unit examines the background to the incident.
