Man remanded in custody after knife threat in Ronsberg
Following a theft at a sports shop in Ronsberg on 23 June, a 31-year-old man is alleged to have threatened employees with a knife while fleeing. When staff members caught up with him in the town on bicycles, he allegedly drew a knife and made stabbing motions towards them. He fled again at first but surrendered shortly afterwards and returned to the shop with the employees. Police provisionally arrested him and seized the knife. Nobody was injured. At the request of Kempten prosecutors, a detention order was issued and executed; investigators are still examining the motive and circumstances.
