Two men injured after neighbour dispute in Hanover

Two men were injured in a dispute between neighbours in Hanover-Limmer on 23 June. A 41-year-old sustained two stab wounds and a 45-year-old was also injured. Police said the confrontation began at about 18:45 on Sackmannstraße between the two neighbours. The 41-year-old is alleged to have threatened the 45-year-old with a blank-firing gun before the latter's 19-year-old son intervened and a scuffle followed. Officers separated those involved, and emergency crews took both injured men to hospital. Hanover prosecutors are treating the case as attempted homicide; police say the specific contributions to the offence have not yet been clearly assigned.
