Man threatens passer-by with knife in Riesa
A 40-year-old man is alleged to have threatened a 19-year-old with a knife in Riesa on Tuesday evening. Earlier, the suspect allegedly demanded a 45-year-old man's mobile phone at Alexander-Puschkin-Platz. After the man refused, the suspect is said to have pulled off and damaged his glasses. Police said he then insulted passers-by while heading towards Hauptstraße. When the 19-year-old challenged him, the man drew a knife and threatened him. Officers called to the scene located the suspect shortly afterwards, seized the knife and opened investigations for criminal damage and threats.
