Woman detained with knife and machete at Frankfurt Central Station
Witnesses reported a person armed with a knife late on 7 September at platform 9 of Frankfurt Central Station. Federal police officers found a 56-year-old woman holding both a knife and a machete. She initially refused to put the items down when ordered and continued approaching the officers. Only after officers threatened to deploy a police dog did she lay down the knife and machete, after which she was detained without resistance. Following police procedures, she was admitted to a psychiatric facility.
