Two men injured in knife attack in Eisenberg

A 48-year-old man allegedly entered a venue on Gutenbergstraße in Eisenberg at about 23:00 on 2 January while armed with a knife and an iron bar. Police said he then unexpectedly stabbed two men known to him. A 58-year-old suffered a minor hand injury, while a 21-year-old sustained serious injuries to the upper body. Both were taken to hospital, and police said neither was in danger of dying. The suspect was arrested nearby. Prosecutors opened proceedings on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
