Man placed in psychiatric hospital after knife attack in Blaustein
During a dispute at accommodation in Blaustein-Herrlingen on 2 January, a 26-year-old resident is alleged to have injured a 24-year-old fellow resident with a kitchen knife. Police said the dispute was linked to loud music. The injured man suffered stab wounds to his arm and upper body and was taken to hospital.
The suspect was provisionally detained in his room, where officers seized a kitchen knife. A judge ordered his placement on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter. He was provisionally placed in a secure psychiatric hospital, and the investigation is ongoing.
