Woman dies after stab wounds in Hamburg
A 38-year-old woman died after suffering multiple stab wounds in Hamburg-Groß Borstel on 2 January. Neighbours found her seriously injured in the stairwell and alerted emergency services, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. Her 38-year-old husband was provisionally detained in the Winterhude district following a search and was due to appear before a custody judge. Prosecutors and the homicide unit were investigating the circumstances.
