Man threatens 26-year-old with knife at Hanover central station

On 2 January, a 20-year-old is alleged to have threatened a 26-year-old with a knife at Raschplatz in Hanover. The incident followed a physical confrontation at about 16:20 in the passage of Niki-de-Saint-Phalle-Promenade on the lower level of the central station. A police patrol intervened immediately, and the threatened man was not injured. The suspect was provisionally arrested at the scene, the knife was seized, and he was subsequently remanded in custody. Prosecutors are investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
