Man threatens opponent with knife and axe in Pforzheim
A 29-year-old man is alleged to have threatened another man with a knife and an axe in central Pforzheim on Tuesday evening. According to police, the two men first became involved in a verbal argument at Leopoldplatz at about 17:50. The suspect allegedly pulled the items from a backpack and showed them to his opponent.
He then walked towards Marktplatz. Police launched a search and provisionally detained him minutes later near Barfüßergasse/Alter Schloßberg. No weapons have so far been found either on him or during a search of the surrounding area. Investigators are still examining how specific the threats were and whether there were further victims.
