Man critically injured in knife attack in Halle-Neustadt

A 20-year-old tenant was attacked with a knife in an apartment building in Halle-Neustadt on 24 February during a dispute. According to the initial findings, a 25-year-old man allegedly injured the tenant inside his apartment. Emergency personnel found stab wounds to the upper body, and the injured man was taken to hospital, underwent emergency surgery and received intensive care. His injuries were initially assessed as life-threatening, but he was later reported to be out of danger. The suspect was provisionally detained. Police said an investigating judge ordered his temporary placement.
