Man pulls work knife during dispute at Offenburg station
A dispute between two men developed at Offenburg station on 30 April after a misunderstanding. A 30-year-old man felt threatened by a 19-year-old man's prolonged eye contact, approached him and later insulted him. After the 19-year-old threatened him, the 30-year-old pulled a work knife. The younger man then sprayed irritant into his face from around five metres away, causing the knife to fall to the ground. Federal police took witness statements and an ambulance attended to the 30-year-old. The two men apologised to each other and did not file criminal complaints. The knife and the irritant spray were seized.
