Man stabs at officers with pocketknife during Munich police operation
Several police patrols were called to Obergiesing at about 18:15 on 16 September after a 69-year-old man was reported to have thrown objects from an apartment onto the street and pavement. The man showed officers a knife through a window and made stabbing motions. Officers then opened the apartment door and overpowered him. While resisting the measure, he stabbed at attending police officers with a pocketknife. The officers were not injured because they were wearing protective equipment. The knife was seized, and the man was admitted to a psychiatric hospital because of his dangerous behaviour.
