Burglar threatens elderly man with knife in Erkrath
A masked burglar is alleged to have entered the home of an 85-year-old man in Erkrath on 16 September. When the resident returned, the suspect threatened him with a knife, locked him in the cellar and fled, police said. A neighbour later heard knocking and alerted police, who freed the man. The elderly man was uninjured, and the investigation is continuing.
