Man threatens police officer with knife in Munich

During an identity check on Valeppstraße in Munich at about 9 p.m. on Friday, a 30-year-old man allegedly first attempted to flee. After a police officer stopped him, the man reportedly pulled a knife and moved towards the officer with his hand raised. The officer threatened to use his firearm and repeatedly ordered him to put down the knife. The man stopped, was arrested and resisted during the arrest. The knife was seized, and the arrested man was due to be brought before an investigating judge.
