Neighbourhood dispute in Munich: man reportedly threatened neighbour with machete

During a neighbourhood dispute in Munich on 26 May, a 47-year-old man reportedly threatened his 37-year-old neighbour with a machete. After physical altercations, the 37-year-old called police at about 2:10 p.m.; the other man was said to have then gone into the street with the machete.

Police later located the 47-year-old at Therese-Giehse-Allee underground station. Underground trains were prevented from departing during the operation. The man came from a train carriage onto the platform, lay down when instructed by officers, and was restrained and searched. No machete was found. He was released after police measures, while investigations into the incident continue.
