Unknown person threatens railway employee on train near Horneburg

On the morning of 26 May, an unknown man openly handled a prohibited butterfly knife on a regional train travelling from Cuxhaven to Hamburg shortly before it reached Horneburg station. A railway security employee noticed him and was subsequently threatened verbally.

The train was stopped after arriving in Horneburg. Officers searched the train, including its toilets, but did not find the man. Police said he had likely escaped from the rear section of the train before they arrived. An investigation into threats and the unlawful carrying of a butterfly knife is under way, and police are seeking witnesses.
