Man threatens accommodation staff with knife in Munich
A 35-year-old man is alleged to have threatened two staff members with a knife at an asylum-seeker accommodation facility in Munich on 13 April. The employees had gone to hand him documents at his room when he came to the door holding the knife. They closed the door and withdrew from the building.
After an emergency call, police sent several patrols to the facility. The suspect was arrested there. Officers found and seized the knife during a search. Following consultation with the health department, his psychiatric placement in a hospital was ordered because of an existing risk to others and himself. Criminal police are investigating the alleged threat.
