63-year-old dies after stab and cut injuries in Erlangen

A 63-year-old man died after an altercation on 13 April on Jenaer Straße in Erlangen-Bruck. Police officers found him seriously injured on a footpath shortly after noon; despite immediate medical treatment, he died at the scene. An autopsy confirmed that he died from inflicted cut and stab injuries. Police provisionally detained a 66-year-old suspect near the scene. After being brought before an investigating judge, he was placed under a detention order on suspicion of manslaughter. Investigators said the suspect and victim knew each other, while the background remains under investigation.
