Man extorted with knife at Oktoberfest grounds
A 25-year-old Oktoberfest visitor was robbed at an exit from the festival grounds near Matthias-Pschorr-Straße and Esperantoplatz on Saturday evening. According to police, an unidentified man grabbed him and showed him a knife secured inside his jacket.
The perpetrator demanded in English that he hand over all valuables. The man then gave him his vest, wallet containing cash and mobile phone. The perpetrator fled on foot, and criminal police are investigating for aggravated robbery by extortion.
