Elderly woman assaulted and threatened with knife in Chemnitz
An 87-year-old woman was approached outside a residential entrance in Chemnitz-Schloßchemnitz at around 10 a.m. on 27 September and then struck on the head by a young woman. According to police, the suspect displayed a knife in her jacket pocket. After the assault caused the elderly woman to drop her shopping bag, the suspect took it, including groceries, and fled.
The woman was injured and received outpatient treatment from emergency services. Police are investigating on suspicion of aggravated robbery and are pursuing initial leads concerning the unidentified suspect.
