Man threatens couple with kitchen knife in Lübeck supermarket car park
A 35-year-old man allegedly showed a woman a kitchen knife and verbally threatened her on the evening of Thursday, 24 September 2026, in a supermarket car park on Kantstraße in Lübeck. He had earlier approached and insulted her husband as the couple loaded their shopping into their car. They locked the car doors and called police; the man followed the vehicle and rattled its doors. Officers took him into custody in the car park and found the kitchen knife in his vest. A voluntary breath test gave a preliminary reading of more than three parts per thousand. No one was injured, and the man faces allegations of insult and threatening behaviour.
