Man draws knife while demanding cigarette in Frankfurt
A 62-year-old man allegedly used a knife to pressure a 46-year-old man into giving him a cigarette in Frankfurt am Main on 24 September 2026. He had first asked for a cigarette at around 1:25 p.m. on the pavement outside a bakery on Wittelsbacherallee. When the other man refused, he allegedly drew the knife and subsequently received a cigarette. He then entered the bakery, asked confused questions and left again. Officers called to the scene arrested him and took him to a hospital for further assessment because of his mental condition.
