Two injured in knife attack at Lingen market square

At about 12:15 a.m. on New Year's Eve, an unidentified offender became involved in a verbal dispute with a 19-year-old man at Lingen's market square. The offender pulled a knife and inflicted minor injuries on the man. A teenager who tried to help him sustained serious injuries from the knife. The offender then fled. Both injured people went to hospital on their own, and the investigation is ongoing.
