Woman displays cutting tool during attempted robbery at Leipzig shop

A 33-year-old woman allegedly demanded tobacco products while displaying a cutting tool at a late-night shop on Eisenbahnstraße in Leipzig on 1 August. A 20-year-old employee behind the counter felt threatened and sprayed her in the face with pepper spray. The woman fled the shop but was stopped at the scene by police officers. Investigators opened proceedings against her for robbery and dangerous bodily harm against the employee. No items were handed over.
