Security worker injured with knife at Trier wine festival
During an altercation at about 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Olewig wine festival in Trier, a 29-year-old man allegedly threatened security staff with a knife and made stabbing motions towards them. A 29-year-old security worker suffered a cut or stab wound to his forearm. Security personnel disarmed the man and held him until police arrived. Following his provisional arrest, an investigating judge issued a detention order and the suspect remains in pre-trial custody.
