Man injured in alleged knife attack in Magdeburg
A 23-year-old man was seriously injured near Münchenhofstraße in Magdeburg at about 05:15 on 1 August. Investigators currently believe that a group of five people physically attacked him near a shared accommodation facility. A knife may have been used during the altercation, injuring the man. He received emergency medical treatment and was then taken to hospital; according to the current information, his life was not in danger. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. Police launched search measures that included a helicopter. The background to the incident remains under investigation.
