Truck driver found with stab and cut injuries in Cologne-Rondorf
A 57-year-old truck driver sought help at an SVG rest area on the A4 in Cologne-Rondorf on Saturday evening after sustaining several stab and cut injuries. He entered the filling-station building on Am Eifeltor street and was taken to hospital in serious condition after receiving emergency medical care.
Police closed the access roads to the rest area, searched the site with police dogs and secured the injured man's truck tractor unit for evidence. Blood traces were found in the cab. Investigators are examining whether the incident was preceded by a conflict with another truck driver who was encountered nearby, and are seeking witnesses.
