Man attacks traveller with utility knife at Cologne Central Station
Following an argument at Cologne Central Station, a 27-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 48-year-old traveller with a utility knife. At about 18:35, the suspect is said to have followed the man near the escalators leading to platforms 2 and 3 and made repeated stabbing motions towards him. The victim fell and, according to his account, used his bag to fend off the attack. He sustained minor abrasions to his elbow and leg. Officers subdued the suspect and provisionally detained him; investigations into the sequence of events and the background are ongoing.
