Man remanded in custody after knife attacks in Husum

A 29-year-old man is alleged to have injured a 48-year-old man with a knife in two confrontations in Husum on 15 October. Following an argument at the junction of Asmussenstraße and Schulstraße, he allegedly stabbed the man in the upper body at around 2 p.m. and threatened to kill him. The injured man received outpatient hospital treatment.

The two men met again in Norderstraße that evening. The suspect is alleged to have again threatened to kill the man and stabbed him with a knife. The victim was initially found to have life-threatening injuries but was no longer in danger to life later. The 29-year-old is also alleged to have injured a 25-year-old man by striking him on the head with a baseball bat in Asmussenstraße. Police arrested him following a search operation, and he was remanded in pre-trial detention.
