Stepson critically injured with knife in Herford
A man is suspected of critically injuring his stepson with multiple knife wounds in Herford on Tuesday evening. The injured man called police at about 19:15 and was found outside the residence. His condition stabilised after emergency surgery.
The stepfather, who is urgently suspected, was arrested without resistance inside the flat. A homicide investigation unit and prosecutors are investigating an attempted killing. A judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted manslaughter in conjunction with dangerous bodily harm.
