Man seriously injured in knife attack on Main cycle path
A 37-year-old man was seriously injured in an altercation on the Main cycle path near Jahnstraße in Schonungen. According to the initial findings, a 27-year-old man is suspected of attacking him, and the injury is believed to have been caused by a knife. The injured man was conscious, received emergency medical treatment and was taken to hospital. Officers arrested the urgently suspected man at the scene. Criminal police and prosecutors are investigating after interviewing initial witnesses and securing evidence; a motive and any prior relationship between the two men remain unknown.
