Armed man robs petrol station in Heimsheim
An unknown man robbed a petrol station on Römerstraße in Heimsheim shortly after 3 a.m. He threatened a station employee and a customer with a knife, then produced an irritant-gas pistol in an attempt to obtain cash. When the employee did not comply, the offender fired towards the two victims, releasing irritant gas into the sales area. Both suffered minor respiratory irritation but required no further medical treatment. The man fled without money across fields and meadows to the west. A search involving patrol cars and a police helicopter was unsuccessful.
