Man remanded in custody after knife attack in Worms
A 23-year-old man was injured with a knife during a physical altercation on Bahnhofstraße in Worms. He sustained several stab wounds to his upper body and thigh, received initial medical care and was taken to hospital. His injuries required surgery but were not considered life-threatening, police said.
A 22-year-old suspect initially fled but returned to the scene shortly afterwards and was arrested. At the request of prosecutors, an investigating judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. Police are continuing to investigate the background and motive.
